The only other pieces of software that have been loaded on the computer are Brave, Chrome, Malwarebytes, NordVPN, LibreOffice, and GIMP. Windows did update on Thursday, and I installed some software from Seagate on Wednesday in order to do automatic backups of my files to an external hard drive, but those are the only changes that have been made within the past week. It looks like this has been an ongoing issue with several models for at least six months, but there doesn't appear to be an official solution from Dell.Įverything is currently up to date on the computer. Since then, every time the computer has gone into sleep mode, either from idling or from being closed, it crashes, gives an error message ("An operating system exception was caused by system memory."), and Dell SupportAssist performs a memory/hardware scan (and never finds any issues). I purchased this laptop about a month ago, and everything was working perfectly until yesterday.
